Copywriting For Coaches™ provides a full range of editing services that include what is called a "substantive" edit. This is far more involved than "proofreading." After the prerequisite questions above have been answered, we begin our substantive edit by assessing the copy as a whole for readability, style, tone, structure, logic, and accuracy, as well as whether the text appropriately reaches your target demographic. We’ll make suggestions to enhance the copy by reworking weak areas and building upon strengths.
This may include reorganizing or rewriting portions of text, eliminating wordiness, writing transitions and summaries. We perform a line-by-line copy edit correcting spelling, grammar, usage, capitalization, punctuation and eliminating inconsistencies. Then we re-read all documents once more, after we complete our edit, to make sure we didn’t miss anything.
